DJ Mehler Collections is a showroom for bath and kitchen fixtures, accessories, mirrors, decorative hardware, light fixtures and tiles.
This Policy is visibly displayed at our order desks, is standard for our industry and submitted with every invoice.

PRICE QUOTES
Manufacturers often change their prices without proper notice us. Prices quoted by DJ Mehler are in effect on date of quote or invoice only. If manufacturer has a price change between the date the invoice was issued and the date payment was received, at which time an order can be placed, the newer price is in effect and client will be charge / credited with difference. DJ Mehler reserves the right to make adjustments, if a price was erroneously misquoted.

PLACEMENT OF ORDERS
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the correct merchandise is ordered for the intended purpose! A written purchase order is requested. If an order is placed verbally, DJ Mehler will not take responsibility, if there is a misinterpretation of the order, and a restocking charge will apply, if merchandise needs to be returned. In any case, please carefully review the items on our invoice. Orders are handled in the sequence they have been received. Please allow time for processing. Also consider lead and shipping times. Lead times are approximate and are not guaranteed. We strongly advise you to wait with scheduling a plumber until you have received and inspected the merchandise you ordered. (Delays in production and shipping happen!)

ORDERS FOR SAMPLES
Manufacturers charge for samples and will not take them back for credit. Minimum order and handling fees may apply.

MINIMUM ORDERS
With certain products, minimum order quantities apply. In some cases, a minimum order charge applies.

PAYMENT
All merchandise is payable at time of order. Unless a resale card is submitted, sales tax will be charged. Direct shipments have to be paid in full incl. estimated shipping, before merchandise will be shipped. 18% APR applies to balances 30 days past due. A $25 fee is charged for return checks. If collection becomes necessary, client is responsible to pay all related costs incl. attorney fees. In case of dispute, all parties agree to binding arbitration in accordance w. the comm. rules of the Am. Arbitration Assoc.

SHIPPING/HANDLING DELIVERIES
All packaging, handling, and delivery charges are to be paid by the customer. Amounts stated on initial invoice are estimates - customer may be charged difference of actual cost at later date.

CANCELLATION OF ORDER
Once an order has been placed and is afterwards canceled, a handling & cancellation fee of 25 - 100% applies. No exception! Many of our products are “special order” and cannot be changed, canceled or returned. DJ Mehler issues store credit only, no cash refunds.

WARRANTY
Manufacturer’s warranties differ in their terms. Please inquire for details. DJ Mehler is not responsible for any reimbursement above and beyond stated manufacturer warranties. We will assist you in receiving satisfaction from the manufacturers. All plumbing fixtures should be tested immediately after installation. Manufacturers or vendors, i.e. DJ Mehler, will in no cases reimburse labor charges.

RECEIPT OF GOODS
Please inspect merchandise immediately and contact us within 48 hours of receipt, if you feel that anything is wrong, missing or defective. Do not allow installation of incorrect items. Once installed, merchandise cannot be returned for credit, even if the wrong item was shipped. Please verify that you have received all items listed on the packing slip, that these are the correct items and, before handing merchandise to anyone else, check that no items are defective. Please keep original packaging for returns. Manufacturers have a time limit for accepting returns, as they carefully inspect merchandise before shipping for defects, scratches, and missing or incorrect parts.

SHIPPING DAMAGE
It is you, the recipient, who is responsible for filing a claim w. the shipping company, if damage occurred during shipping. You need to contact the shipping company immediately and file a damage claim. If products arrived by a trucking company, merchandise needs to be inspected in trucker’s presence. Do not sign a receipt which states that you have received merchandise in good condition, unless you have verified this. If you accept items without checking then you have little recourse to collect on damages. Both UPS and FedEx require notification of shipping damage within 48 hrs.

DEFECTIVE AND INCORRECT ITEMS
Defective items will be returned to the manufacturer to be repaired or replaced. After the defective item has been returned to the factory and it has been verified, that the defect is a manufacturer’s error, a replacement will be shipped free of charge. It will be shipped by the same delivery method as the original order (e.g. regular UPS). If the replacement is needed sooner, a “new” order has to be placed for the item, for which a “security deposit” is required, and which will be refunded, once the credit from the manufacturer for the returned merchandise has been received. The time frame, in which defective parts can be replaced under warranty, varies between manufacturers. Please note: Manufacturers are usually generous with replacing “missing” or “defective” parts, however, as a rule will not pay for labor, as in many cases it is questionable, how the parts became missing or defective.

OTHER RETURNS/EXCHANGES
The rules of our industry apply. All returned merchandise is subject to a restocking charge; percentages vary from 25-80%, depending on manufacturer and time of return. Some manufacturers, such as Robern THG, Logo etc, will not accept any returns. All manufacturers have time limits for returns, usually 30 days from date of shipment. Please inquire for details applicable to your order. All returned merchandise must be in original, undamaged and unmarked box with all parts present. Client is responsible for paying return freight. Showroom credit (no cash refund) will be given, and only after manufacturer has accepted return and credited DJ Mehler. An “exchange” is handled as two separate transactions - a return and a new order. The new order is to be paid at time of order, a refund for the returned merchandise is given after we receive credit from the manufacturer, up to the value of the new order, the remainder as store credit. Please make your selections carefully. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the correct items for the intended installation are ordered.

MINIMUM VALUE OF RETURNS
Items of less than $25.00 in cost cannot be returned for credit. A 50% restocking charge applies for return of items $25.00 - $100.00 in cost. This is due to the overhead cost to process the paperwork.

RETURNS OF HARDWARE
Hardware samples cannot be returned for credit. Hardware ofless than $25.00 cost per manufacturer cannot be returned for credit. A 50% restocking charge applies for returned hardware of cost - per manufacturer - between $25.00 and $50.00. 25% for cost over $ 50.00. No returns accepted after 30 days from date of shipping.
A “Return Request Form” must be completed, before any merchandise can be returned. Sale Items and purchased Floor Displays as well as Tiles cannot be returned.

SPECIAL OR CUSTOM ORDERS
Special or custom orders cannot be cancelled, changed or returned after order has been placed (e.g. Robern mirror cabinets, all THG products and others).

GENERAL DISCLAIMER
DJ Mehler Collections is not responsible for customer, vendor, or manufacturer errors or omissions, defects, changes, shipping delays, any damage after receipt of merchandise, improper installation, construction delays or repairs. Neither the manufacturer nor DJ Mehler Collections is responsible for purchased merchandise to meet code. Please check with your local authorities for code requirements - they vary between states and counties.
